Making your notification area more useful and Beautiful

The notification area on Android is very customizable, from it you can navigate to any location in your device, you can toggle pretty much any thing toggleable (connectivity, Screen timeout, notification profile...), launch an application and so on.
However, to explore more features available on the notification area, you need to install-third party apps.

Some extra things you can do with a third-party enhanced notification area include

1. switching off or restarting your phone directly: this eliminates need for long-holding power button (I particularly hate it)
2. Toggle WiFi Hotspot, Bluetooth and USB Tethering (one touch internet sharing)
3. Play music from notification area
4. Toggle flashlight (Camera LED flash) or screen light
5. Launch any application
6. A lot more

Third-party applications that can help you get more use from your notification area are called "notification widgets". You may already know about these applications, but if you don't have one installed on your smart phone at the moment, then you should get one.
Because apps in this category are usually light and fast, you would not have to worry about having your phone slowed down.

"Power Toggles" is one of the most popular and one of the best apps in this category, it has got a huge amount of customization options. It also has got a number of notification icon styles to chose from and an option to pin notification toggles to the top.

To know more about "Power Toggles" or try out other notification widgets, browse the Google Playstore

Samsung Galaxy S5 vs. Apple iPhone 5s: Spec Showdown

In what appears to be an unending rivalry between two tech giants,  Samsung and Apple continue their smartphone arms race. The Galaxy S5 doesn't look too different from the S4, but it sports a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, a significant bump up from the S4's 1.9GHz Snapdragon 600. The iPhone 5s's A7 processor is impressive, and we won't know whether the Galaxy S5 will beat it until we benchmark it. The iPhone 5s  generally
