How to change Lockscreen sound and other notification sounds on Android (HTC, LG, Samsung, Tecno, Gionee, Sony, Infinix)
The Android operating system is a highly customizable platform and many love it for this sole feature.
Changing the lockscreen sound isn't what most smartphone users fancy that much...its only customization freaks like myself that would want to change lockscreen sounds.
There are of course a number of 3rd party apps that can be used to achieve this, However, this tutorial is a 'do it yourself' kinda tutorial.
Steps may look complicated, but doing this is really simple--trust me!
2. A file explorer that can browse to system root AKA Root explorer (e.g. Solid explorer)
3. A replacement file for the default sound i.e the new sound you want (you can download from anywhere).
2. Copy the replacement file into this folder
3. Now, Locate the file you will replace (it should have a file name similar to this "unlock"/"lock" or both)
4. Rename the replacement file to look like the file you wish to replace and overwrite the old file.
(As a form of precaution, copy out the old file and save somewhere else in case of need for a reversal of this customization)
5. Reboot your device to apply changes and test the result
Note: You can also change other notification sounds using this same process. Don't forget to have a backup of the original sounds before starting this replacement, else you won't be able to use the default sound again!

What you need
1. Root...as usual you need root to be able to change your lockscreen sound by yourself2. A file explorer that can browse to system root AKA Root explorer (e.g. Solid explorer)
3. A replacement file for the default sound i.e the new sound you want (you can download from anywhere).
How to
1. Locate the directory "system/media/audio/ui/"2.
What could go wrong?
Nothing! Just ensure that the replacement file has exactly the same name, format and size range as the file to be replaced (case sensitive, no spaces).Note: You can also change other notification sounds using this same process. Don't forget to have a backup of the original sounds before starting this replacement, else you won't be able to use the default sound again!
