How to change boot animation on HTC, Samsung, Sony, Gionee, Tecno, Lg

The stock boot animations on many android phones are quite dull and boring to be honest, apart from the boot animations on Samsung, Sony and a few other phones. If you use a network operator branded phone such as at&t, verizon, Tmobile and a host of others, you would always be reminded by your boot animation that you use a contract phone.

Just in case you wish to remove these boring animations and replace them with something lively and funky, then you should continue reading.

To change boot animation you don't need to learn linux commands or any other complicated stuff, a third party app like "ROM toolbox" and a couple of customization enthusiasts have done the job already.

To Change your Boot animation

1. Root is Required, so you need to Root your phone first.

2. Download "ROM toolbox" android app

3. launch the app you just downloaded and navigate to the "interface" tab by swiping left

4. Select "Boot Animations" and browse through the list of available custom animations

5. Chose your desired animation (make sure you preview before installing), install and reboot your device

6. Do not use any other feature of this app unless you are familiar with android tweaking.

Note: Go ahead with this customization only if you are sure of what you are doing, because you are liable for any damage done to your device in the course of using this application. I have never had an issue with this app, so I don't expect you to encounter any.

thank you!

In what appears to be an unending rivalry between two tech giants,  Samsung and Apple continue their smartphone arms race.
