Take ScreenShots in three easy steps on any Smartphone.

This is a reviewed and updated tutorial on how you can easily capture your device’s screen or simply take screenshots on your device.




HTC (Android): Any HTC running on android 2.3 Gingerbread above

STEP 1- Navigate to the window you would love to take a shot of

STEP 2- Locate the LOCK/UNLOCK (POWER) and the VOLUME-DOWN buttons

STEP 3- Press and hold down the ‘POWER’ and ‘VOL-DOWN’ buttons simultaneously then wait for the shutter sound before releasing the buttons.


HTC (Windows phone):

STEP 1- Navigate to the desired window or screen

STEP 2- Locate the WINDOW (soft button) and the POWER button

STEP 3- Press and hold down the WINDOW soft-button, then press the POWER button

A successful screenshot is indicated when a screen of your accent color flashes over the whole screen

check your Picture gallery for saved image of your screen.


Samsung (Android): 

STEP 1- Navigate to where you want to take a snapshot of

STEP 2- Locate the POWER and the HOME buttons

STEP 3- Press the HOME and POWER buttons simultaneously, then wait for the shutter sound.


iPHONE (iOS):

STEP 1- As usual, navigate to the screen of choice

STEP 2- Find the SLEEP/WAKE and the HOME buttons

STEP 3- Press the HOME and the SLEEP/WAKE buttons simultaneously and release, you should hear a camera shutter sound and a screen flash after a successful screenshot is taken.


SONY (Android):

Same as in HTC (Android) phones


OTHER PHONES (Android): Tecno, Infinix, Gionee, Be....

METHOD 1- A combination of POWER and VOLUME DOWN buttons (This method works on Gionee)

METHOD 2- A combination of POWER and VOLUME UP buttons

METHOD 3- A combination of HOME and POWER buttons

In conclusion, if your device does not have a physical HOME button, then METHODs 1 or 2 should work fine for you, otherwise use METHOD 3.

ALTERNATIVELY: 

Download a SCREENSHOT-taking application from your device’s AppStore if none of the methods explained in this post work for your device.
