Clearing your device's battery stats is another basic or rudimental thing, it may not be important to all users, but if you care about your battery then you should know how to do this.
By default, the Android -and pretty much every- operating system logs the history of battery usage, everything is stored. The log is used to accurately determine the battery's full capacity and control charging to prevent over-charging and a lot of other things I dont know.
At some point the battery stats will not be able to accurately determine your battery's capacity and may result to poor battery performance (as a result of wrong info).
Clearing battery stat is not what you need to do every month or something, its may be required after a firmware update or after flashing a custom ROM or when you feel your phone is reporting battery status wrongly.
How To (Method 1)
1. First you need root access (see here on too root any Android device)
2. Then flash a custom recovery (CWM, Wcx, TWRP, Amonrar) to your device, Learn how to flash custom recoveries here
3. Once you have a custom recovery flashed, boot into recovery mode (see how to boot into recovery for your device)
4. Using 'Volume UP' and 'vol Down' to scroll and 'power' Button to select, navigate to >>wipe/clear data>>wipe battery stat
5. confirm wipe by pressing the power button
6. Reboot your smartphone.
Method 2.
This method is for those that are unable to flash a custom recovery
1. Get the app "SYSTEM CONTROL" from the Google Playstore
2. Launch it and click on the little tool icon at the top-right corner of the screen
3. Select 'wipe battery stats'
4. Restart your device.
There you go, battery stats should now be wiped and a new usage data will start logging immediately
