Samsung Galaxy S5 may not be the Deal this year after all.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 only launched over 24 hours ago in over 120 countries world wide. It comes with awesome features that would leave any smartphone lover wanting to get a taste. Features like -a Paypal Certified- fingerprint scanner/sensor, IP67 certified- water and dust resistance, wireless charging, Air gesture and so much more...visit GSMArena for detailed specs of Samsung Galaxy S5.

However, the new Samsung device may not be the best smartphone yet and that it comes short in a number of features behind the hTC M8 and iPhone 5s. We have previously reviewed the Samsung Galaxy S5 and hTC M8, with a quick comparison between the two smartphones competing for 'the Smartphone-of-the-Year Award'.

Some of the reasons we have highlighted to possibly make Samsung's latest flagship device not succeed as the best phone in 2014 so far include.

Speaker: This is a real deal buster for a lot of genuine smartphone lovers, to be honest, to think that Samsung stuck to their usual rear-mounted mono speaker only proves that Samsung favored their pride over what seems like the better option -A front-facing stereo speaker. Think about it, a Samsung S5 device placed on a flat-hard surface would obviously not produce quality sound compared to maybe an iPhone 5s or M8. You may ask, "who needs music blaring in their face when there's earbuds?", then why put a speaker on a phone at all if it's not important.

Body material: Again, Samsung favored the plastic over metal to build the body of the Galaxy S5. HTC used 20-percent more metal than on the HTC One M7 and wrapped it up the sides to the display and even rounded the back a little more. It certainly looks beautiful and feels nice in your hand, but metal does offer some of its own problems – slippery in the hand, it can get extremely hot or cold depending on the ambient temperature, can interfere with signals or wireless charging solutions, and if you drop it, metal can nick or scratch permanently. In the end, a non-plastic body gives your phone a more solid build and feel (that's why I love iPhones).

Change in UI: TouchWiz is a very beautiful UI for a smartphone, which Samsung Uses on it's devices. But did nobody notice that virtually nothing changed apart from the usual wallpaper change? Anyway, in my own opinion, device upgrade should come with improvement and UI change as well. Icons, status/notification area style may be retained and a few things may remain, but after all these years, more than just the wallpaper should change (hTC M8 shows us what UI change could mean).

Fragmented Market: Yes, Samsung may be the best at what they do, but to be fair, they have got to many versions of this Device (and just like their other products). The main disadvantage of having too many versions is, Update difficulty. It is true various service providers these the device are made for push OTA updates for their customers, however it is important to note that these updates don't come at the same time (some don't get updates at all). I really don't see the point having Asian, European and Korean versions alongside the others (can someone shed more light? Its confusing). Imagine your Asian Galaxy S5 not getting the Android 4.5 when your friends using *African* S5 or T-mobile,Verizon or at&t versions get officially Lollypop-ed.

These reasons may not be enough to make you change your opinion about 'the smartphone of the year', they are definitely reasons showing some of the shortcoming of Samsung S5 and reasons why some other smartphones may actually offer far more than the New Samsung Galaxy S5.

Samsung Galaxy S5 vs. Apple iPhone 5s: Spec Showdown

In what appears to be an unending rivalry between two tech giants,  Samsung and Apple continue their smartphone arms race. The Korean giant's new Galaxy S5 smartphone is poised to take on Cupertino's current champ, the  iphone 5s , as each company tries to leapfrog over the other semiannually. The Galaxy S5 doesn't look too different from the S4, but it sports a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, a significant bump up from the S4's 1.9GHz Snapdragon 600. The iPhone 5s's A7 processor is impressive, and we won't know whether the Galaxy S5 will beat it until we benchmark it. The iPhone 5s  generally
