White House to Switch from Blackberry to Android (Samsung or LG)

Could This be True?

The rumors flying around about the change in the White House's smart Phone choice may just be true. There has  been talks of a possible change in the White House workers' smartphones on the internet very recently.

According to Wall Street Journal,
The White House is testing smartphones from Samsung Electronics Corp.and LG
Electronics Inc.  for internal use, a person familiar with the matter said, threatening one of the last and most high-profile strongholds of BlackBerry Ltd. The devices are being tested by the White House's internal technology team and the White House Communications Agency, a military unit in charge of President Barack Obama's communications, the person said. The tests are in the early stages, the person said, and any implementation of Samsung or LG phones is still "months away." There was no indication that Mr. Obama is switching from his modified BlackBerry."We can confirm that the White House Communications Agency, consistent with the rest of the Department of Defense, is piloting and using a variety of mobile devices," a Defense Department spokesman said. He declined to comment on the devices in the pilot test or in use at the White House.
The Blackberry Smartphone OS is largely regarded for its security, however this news only shows the rate of decline the Canada based company has hit lately. Google's Android has already taking over the Company's consumer market, and now threatening to take over it long time service in the White House.

If there is a way to make the Google mobile OS secure and safe for the Executive consumers, then the show may just be completely over for the BB OS.

What do you really think?

In what appears to be an unending rivalry between two tech giants,  Samsung and Apple continue their smartphone arms race.
