Easy Fix for Google play error RPC:S-7:AEC-0 (no reboot required)

Recently I upgraded my Android device to 4.4.4 kitkat, and my experience on it was smooth until I had to update some apps.
When I tried using my Google Play store to install new apps, the error "RPC:S-7:AEC-0 Error retrieving information from server" was persistently returned.

Google searching for a fix was the only option, but the solutions that were available were either poorly described or too geeky to follow.

Just incase you encounter similar error, either after an OS upgrade or Play Store app update, below is the simple and straight forward way to fix such.

Fixing the Error RPC:S-7:AEC-0 on Google Play App

It is important to know the cause of this error- this error results from difficulty in synchronizing your Google account with your smart phone by the Google services app.

  • Check and ensure that your internet connection is good (very important for first sync).
  • Goto: Settings++Accounts++Google (notice sync error).
  • Delete/Remove the Google Account from the phone.
  • Click 'add Account', and choose 'Google', choose 'existing' and fill in your details (wait to see synchronization completed, waiting time depends on the number of Google services you signedup for).
  • Once sync is completed in above step, Launch Google Play app and retry apps installation.
  • Repeat steps 1-4 if sync encounters error.

In what appears to be an unending rivalry between two tech giants,  Samsung and Apple continue their smartphone arms race.
