FireChat for Android now available

The all new and intuitive app that allows you and your friends connect without internet is finally here on the Android platform. Just about 2 weeks ago, we brought you the news update when Open Garden announced the availability of FireChat for the iOS 7 and 7.1 devices.

The FireChat app makes use of a technology which Open Garden referred to as their "Mesh Networking Technology".

Features:
  • Instantly message anyone around you on Android devices,
  • Works even without any Internet connection or any type of mobile coverage
  • Chat with one person or with a group of people at once,
  • See what people are talking about everywhere in the “Everyone” mode, or create conversations that only people near you can join in the “Nearby” mode,
  • "Nearby chat" works best within 30 feet of your location,
  • Easy: no Facebook or email login, no password to remember,
  • Use it at home or when traveling anywhere in the world

FireChat comes handy when on the beach or in the subway, at a big game or a trade show, camping in the wild or at a concert, or even abroad, simply fire up the app with a friend or two and find out who else is there.

There  seems to be a little complaint from users as the app does not support cross-platform chatting at the moment i.e chatting between Android and iOS. We can only hope this feature gets included as the app gets updated.

This App is HOT and receiving new downloads every minute from the Google Playstore. Join in the fun...its free.

Samsung Galaxy S5 vs. Apple iPhone 5s: Spec Showdown

In what appears to be an unending rivalry between two tech giants,  Samsung and Apple continue their smartphone arms race. The Galaxy S5 doesn't look too different from the S4, but it sports a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, a significant bump up from the S4's 1.9GHz Snapdragon 600. The iPhone 5s's A7 processor is impressive, and we won't know whether the Galaxy S5 will beat it until we benchmark it. The iPhone 5s  generally
